Happy Thursday! I am linking up again for Thinking Out Loud Thursdays with “Running with Spoons” (see my previous post here). I love the randomness of it and how it’s just a “brain dump” of sorts. So here goes!
**Written on April 20, 2017** – Sorry I didn’t post this last Thursday like originally intended…I ended up having to go to Triage at the hospital to be monitored for my blood pressure and just didn’t even think about posting this that day.
So I don’t know what to say, so I’m just going to start typing away and hopefully things will come to me. I guess that’s what this is all about, huh? Random thoughts.
I found out today that one of my recent blog posts got featured on one of my favorite blogs!!! Craziness! I am so excited and it has really encouraged me to find the time to start focusing more on this little space of mine.
Still no baby girl yet, but we are under the month countdown now. I feel like she has dropped a little bit and I can tell this week I am feeling a little different, so who knows when she might make an appearance. I have a doctor appointment next Tuesday and I’m curious to see how that goes.
Even though it is hard to play and keep up with a three year old, I am trying to do as much as I can with Emmalyn right now because I know our one on one time will be limited in the future. She is so much fun right now and you never know what she might say or do. I’m trying to soak it all in. She had her 3 year old well child check-up last week and the doctor says she is doing great! She is in the 90th percentile in height and 80th percentile in weight and the doctor says that is perfectly fine. Robert and I have no clue where her height is coming from. I’m only 5’3” and he is about 6’0”(so he says). If what the old wives’ tale says is true about doubling children’s height when they are two and that will be their height when they are older, she is on track to be about 6’0”. I just can’t believe that my baby girl might be taller than me someday. So weird to think about!
So last night I was thinking about different things I’ve done/said in the past couple of years that I wish I could take back or have a do-over on and was feeling pretty down on myself about it. Well…today I read a blog post from someone I follow (Holley Gerth – such an encourager) and it was just what I needed to hear today of all days! One quote really stood out to me…”When we don’t forgive ourselves we deny what Jesus did on the cross.” That made me realize that I need to stop feeling bad about things that I should have done or things that I haven’t done, because Jesus has given me the grace to continue on like I have a clear slate.
Well, I know this was a totally random post, but that’s what’s been running through my head today. Thanks for letting me share with you!
Until next time…Keep it simple!
