This year I have begun using Powersheets by Lara Casey. I am enjoying them so much! I loved starting the year off with some deep thinking about what I want to cultivate in my life and how to go about doing that. I really like how there is no wrong way to fill them out. There is a goal refresh each quarter and there is no pressure to keep the same goals you began with at the beginning of the year. This method realizes that life happens, things change, and it gives you the grace to change your goals according to what is going on in your life. This is especially important to me right now with expecting a baby soon and knowing that life is going to be crazy for the next few months until we find a new normal. The people with Cultivate What Matters are so encouraging. I like how they show how they set up their Tending Lists each month on Instagram Stories and how it shows how they are normal everyday people as well and they require grace as well if they don’t accomplish all the things. Anyways…with all that being said, I thought I would show you the Tending List for April from my Powersheets (see below). I eventually want to do a page by page setup post to show you how I set up my Powersheets, but this will suffice for now.
I have been filling out previous months’ Tending Lists with colorful pens, but this month I decided I just wanted to try black ink for simplicity purposes. Also, I have to mention I know there is a stain on my page (grrr…) I was drinking my new favorite coffee shop drink, a London Fog, and a little splashed out on the page. This type of thing really bothers me because I hate mess-ups, but I’m trying to embrace it and think of it like it is a memory maker…one that reminds me of my loving husband who let me go to a coffee shop after a long day at work and took care of Emmalyn and was happy to let me go and relax.
Anyways….this is my list of goals for April. In future months I want to get to the point where I walk through each of them and explain my why for them, I just ran out of time this month and couldn’t decide on the format I wanted to use (just being honest).
I have also transferred this list to my Inkwell Press Planner mission board (see below) and that helps me to in another way to be accountable because I can fill out my daily, weekly, monthly goals accordingly in my planner. I will eventually do a post and show how I use my planner, but I at least wanted to show how I fill out my monthly Mission Board based on my Powersheets.
There is so much I want to accomplish and start doing in my life, but I know some of it isn’t feasible right now at this time in my life (especially with expecting a new baby), but I do realize I need to do something and start somewhere. My goals for this month, I feel are ones that are important to me right now and are some habits that I want/need to incorporate into my daily life before I begin adding other goals/habits.
I will check in sometime next month and let you know the results (by then there might be some pictures of a new baby in our family).
Until next time…keep it simple.

I was so glad to see you have an IWP planner. I’m getting my first set of powersheets any day now and was wondering how I would incorporate them into my planner. Good luck with the new baby!

I love both my Powersheets and my Inkwell Press Planner! I really feel like you can make them integrate pretty well with each other. Thanks so much!
