Hello and welcome to Simply Maude, blogging home to me, Lindsey. I started this blog as a creative outlet for me and as a fun way to connect and make new friends with you!
My husband, Robert and I live in Northwest Arkansas with our sweet 6 year-old daughter Emmalyn and almost 3 year-old daughter Claire. My husband and I have been married for nine years and have known each other for eleven. I think that we have a sweet story of how we met and of our first date and our second “first” date (be on the lookout for a blog post about this soon).
I am an accountant (I’ve obtained my CPA license, which was a major milestone in not only my career, but also my life…this will probably end up as a blog post someday as well). My parents were married for 38 years and recently divorced (see post here). I have one younger sister (Amanda) who is my “favoritest” sister and my best girl friend.
I was homeschooled my whole life and was involved in many activities. I have lived several different places growing up, ranging from Washington State to Pennsylvania and for the majority of my growing up years (and currently) Arkansas. I attended a very small Christian college in Central Arkansas and then after receiving my Associates there, I transferred after two years to a larger Christian college in West Tennessee. I have worked for a couple of public accounting firms as an auditor/tax preparer, an accountant for a private company, and now I currently work full-time outside the home as an accountant for a small local government.
I hope this will become a place you visit frequently and are able to sit, relax with a cup of warm goodness, and just Keep It Simple.
