This book is easily my most favorite book written by Holley Gerth. As I was reading, I just kept saying, “Me too, me too”. Holley was extremely open and vulnerable in this book and she has such a way with words that seems like you are sitting there just talking with your best friend. It seemed every chapter pertained to me and something I had struggled with in the past or something I am currently struggling with. As I was reading I kept wondering how Holley had gotten in my head and why was she telling all of my thoughts and insecurities I have lived with my whole life and continue to struggle with? I am in a season of wanting to improve and change myself and not let the past define me and this book has come along at the perfect time. Fiercehearted has given me the courage to go ahead and be brave and to live my life to the best I know how. I don’t have to be bogged down by past struggles/heartaches or by struggles/heartaches that might be in front of me…I don’t have to believe the lies of you must try harder or become better, but I can embrace me and my life right now and believe in the woman God has created me to be. What encouraging words…I loved this book and it will be a permanent fixture on my bookshelf for years to come and I know it will become a recurring read over and over in my life.
Until next time….keep it simple!
