Currently I am….
finishing: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (#2) audiobook. I don’t know what prompted me to want to listen to Harry Potter on audiobook, but I am so glad the idea popped in my head! I am getting them through my library’s OverDrive app. I am so loving listening to them. The narrator does such a great job and I love how he uses different voices for each of the characters. I look forward to listening to it whenever I get a chance!
subscribing: I’m not currently subscribing to anything. There are several things I would like to be…such as the Headspace app, Audible, FabFitFun, StitchFix, Birchbox, and a few other things. I try to not get sucked into those things, because subscriptions tend to start adding up over time and start draining the bank account without you really realizing it…but man, it is hard at times when it seems like everyone on social media is subscribed to ALL the things and you aren’t. Trying to practice contentment.
wishlisting: I have a whole list of things that are on my wishlist, but one word…contentment (see above). However, it’s fun to have a wishlist and mine includes a Madewell Transport Tote, Maskcara makeup, essential oils starter kit, and a few other things.
watching: Our family is in a season where there isn’t enough hours in a day to sit and watch much of anything to be honest, but Robert and Emmalyn have a thing where each night before bed they watch “Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives“. It is the cutest thing, because Emmalyn will ask every night…”Dad, can we watch our cooking show?” Then they cuddle up on the couch together and watch an episode. So sweet! Last night we did all sit and watch an episode of “Ellen’s Game of Games“. We all thought it was funny and we enjoyed watching it together.
When I do have time (like on a weekend when my parents are watching the girls or when I am home with a sick baby), my go-to shows to catch up on are “Fuller House“, “This Is Us“, “Nashville“, and “Fixer Upper“.
Also, when either set of grandparents watch the girls overnight, Robert and I have been watching “Stranger Things“. Such a weird show and we don’t know why we keep watching it, other than you just get sucked in.
(Man, I had a lot to say about that prompt didn’t I?)
hearting: Right now my main thing I am hearting is probably my work week lunch dates with Robert. He has been working late and by the time he gets home I am working on getting Claire to sleep. Once I’m done with that then he puts Emmalyn to bed while I eat supper and then we are so tired (from baby not sleeping good during the night) that we fall into bed…that is our nightly routine. So needless to say that doesn’t leave much time to talk and catch each other up on stuff happening every day, so we have been trying to go to lunch at least once or twice a week (we work extremely close to each other…less than 2 miles apart probably) and it does a world of good for us and helps us touch base with each other and what is going on and also helps us to power through the remainder of the work day.
That was fun! Looking forward to linking up again on March 7th, when we will be discussing what we’re currently planning, seeing, making, pretending, and wearing.
Until next time….keep it simple!

Love the idea of lunch dates with your husband. What a great way to intentionally stay connected during a very busy season.

I’ve been stuck on Harry Potter #4 for like a year!! I’m scared to read such a fat book!

I wish I could subscribe to ALL the subscription boxes, but yeah, it would definitely add up and I just don’t have the money. Maybe one day I can subscribe to something!

I’ve heard the Harry Potter audio books are really well done – I’m going to wait on them until my son is old enough, so we can enjoy them together! And yay for lunch dates – such a good idea to find time to reconnect with each other that day, in the midst of all of the busy-ness.

Cheers for contentment! Something I’m working on for myself this year!
