Linking up with Anne for the November “Currently” link-up!
appreciating: The Fall leaves! They are just gorgeous this year!!! I’m in awe of God using a time when things are in the process of dying and still making it such a beautiful sight to see.
researching: For the past couple of months I’ve been researching how food can affect so many different aspects of your health. It has been so fascinating to me to learn how eliminating one or two different items from a person’s diet can make a huge change to the body’s overall health. There is a older lady I work with who has dne this and it has made a drastic difference in her life and health, so I know it works…I have just got to mentally get on board and figure out how to make the changes that fit in with my lifestyle right now.
posting: Tomorrow is the #onedayHH and I am going to participate on Instagram (@simplymaude). Laura Tremain hosts a day every year where you do posts that document your day…I did this last year and enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Feel free to join in tomorrow (Nov. 8, 2018)! The rules are simple: “Document the details. Hour by hour. Use the hashtag. Have fun.”
getting: Excited about the holiday season. Getting a little anxious about all the things that need to get done in the next month and a half, but also getting excited about all of it as well!
cooking: Tonight I am trying a new crockpot recipe. My sister has made it and says it is good, so we will see. It’s “Healthy Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sweet Potatoes“…so I will be eating the sweet potatoes and my husband will be eating baked potatoes instead because he doesn’t like sweet potatoes. Hopefully it will be good with both. I’m excited to try it! I’ve really gotten into eating sweet potatoes lately…I’ve been taking them to work and cooking them in the microwave for lunch. I’ll report back and let you know if this was a thumbs up or a thumbs down type of meal!
That was fun! Looking forward to linking up again on December 5th, when we will be sharing about what we’re currently gifting, baking, singing, mailing, and decorating.
Until next time….Keep it simple!
Lindsey

I’ve never heard of the #onedayHH but I love this idea – I always find any “day in the life” type posts so fascinating! Thanks for joining in this month 🙂

Food can hurt and heal us. I’ve done plenty of my own research and know what you’re saying is so true. Those sweet potatoes really look delicious. Thanks for sharing. Have fun tomorrow while you document your day!

My husband hates sweet potatoes, too, and I LOVE them, so I will absolutely be making that crockpot recipe!! Thanks for linking to it!!!! And I am loving how you described the leaves as God’s creativity to make something dying look beautiful. Whew. That’s deep!
