I found (through a blog I follow called “The Horton Family“) a new monthly link-up with Anne and it sounded like a lot of fun. So here goes!
Currently….
starting: a new health journey. It is time for me to get healthy by eating healthier and being more active. Since our house has recently succumbed to the flu, instead of starting out on Monday, Jan. 1st like originally intended…Robert and I have decided to start fresh on this coming Monday, January 8th.
hoping: that the flu/sickness has left out house for the rest of the winter!
scheduling: blog posts. I’m ready to get serious about blogging and creating content. Also, working on creating my “Cultivated Calendar” and putting in annual doctor/dentist/eye appointments, important dates (i.e. birthdays/anniversaries) and other yearly deadlines in my planner.
reading: the Bible. I have embarked on reading through the Bible in a year. I have downloaded the “Blue Letter Plan – Chronological Reading Plan” on the YouVersion app and am focused on completing this goal for the year. I am ashamed to say that I have never read through the entire Bible before (I have tried, but have not succeeded) and I want this year to matter and reading through the Bible (along with becoming healthier) are my two main goals for 2018.
playing: the game Zingo with Emmalyn. I had heard about this through Kelsey (either through her blog or her podcast with Erica) and she mentioned how her little boy loved it and would sit and play it for long stretches of time. I put it on a list for future gift ideas and finally got it for Emmalyn for Christmas. She loves it! We have sat down and played it as a family almost every night since she got it and it has been fun spending family time doing this together.
That was fun! Looking forward to linking up again on February 7th, when we will be discussing what we’re currently finishing, subscribing, wishlisting, watching, and hearting.

I learned about Zingo from Kelsey on the podcast too! We got it for our 4-year-old for his birthday, and it’s been a hit around here too.
Thanks so much for joining in!

Hope you feel better soon! The flu is no joke this winter!
Good luck on your health journey! That’s a journey I’m embarking on this year too. So, to prepare, I just ate an obscene amount of caramel corn. It makes sense, right?
