Anne, at In Residence, hosts a linkup on the first Wednesday of every month and invites readers to share a few things that they are currently up to. Be sure to head over to Anne’s blog and see what everyone is up to this month.
resolving – To be more disciplined this year. I have chosen discipline to be my Word of the Year, because I feel like I need more discipline/structure in my life. I am so tired of feeling like I am just jumping and rushing from one thing to the next and I am ready to have a disciplined way to approach things and to just have daily discipline in my everyday life to accomplish goals/ideas I want to do.
reading – I’m actually going to try to slow down on my reading fiction books this month, I have on my heart that I need to read more of God’s Word this year than other people’s words.
cleaning – Over the holidays, I actually cleaned out both of the girls’ closets and they just look and feel better so it has made me excited to start going through and cleaning/getting rid of things throughout the house.
creating – I want to be intentional in creating some rhythms and routines to incorporate into our daily life to just make things just run smoothly in our household. For example, on Sunday evenings I would like to set out the girls’ clothing for the week ahead, so in the morning I am not rushing around trying to find things that fit them or are clean and actually match.
planning – Robert and I want to start planning a family trip this year. We feel that the girls are both old enough to enjoy it and to tell you the truth…I am just ready for a vacation somewhere other than Arkansas. So I am looking forward to starting to plan that with Robert!
I hope everyone had a great holiday season! Check back the first Wednesday of next month when we will be discussing what we are currently loving, embracing, tasting, wearing, and preparing.
Until next time…keep it simple!
Lindsey

Ah, I just love that feeling of cleaning out to start out a new year. And I so am with you on wanting to eliminate that feeling of hurrying from one thing to the next in my life. Here’s to a calm and controlled 2020 😉
