Keep It Simple

in Currently· Link-ups

Currently – March 2020

Anne, at In Residence, hosts a linkup on the first Wednesday of every month and invites readers to share a few things that they are currently up to. Be sure to head over to Anne’s blog and see what everyone is up to this month.

fixing – We are fixing up Emmalyn’s old room to be a playroom for the girls. We bought a bunk bed and now both girls are sharing a bedroom and then we are working towards making a really neat/fun playroom for the girls. So that’s on the agenda this month.

hearing – A couple of days ago I signed up for the free trial for Audible so I could listen to Jessica Simpson’s new memoir Open Book. I’m only a couple of hours in, but so far I am really enjoying it!

borrowing – The past couple of months we have been borrowing a lot of books and Playaways from the library. The girls love selecting books to bring home and I have always been known to borrow way more books than I can read during the “check-out period”.

feeling – I am feeling excited for Emmalyn’s birthday this weekend! We have ordered a nice swing-set that will be delivered the day before her birthday. This picture isn’t the exact one we are getting, but it’s similar enough to show. I’m excited about it because I have been wanting to get a swing-set for the girls for so long! I think both girls are going to enjoy it so much!!!

Then we are having a Princess Tea Party for her and her friends on her actual birthday. I think this year has been the best year to see her anticipating her birthday. This seems to be the year that she really is understanding how many days away her birthday is and is also excited about what friends she has invited to her party. It’s been fun getting to experience it with her!

recommending – Robert surprised me with an Ember mug for Valentines Day and I am really liking it!

It’s so nice to have at work and not have to consistently have to go warm up my coffee. I know it’s a splurge, but I think it’s been really neat and I have definitely been enjoying it!

Please join in this fun link-up next month (April 1st) where we will be discussing what we are currently sharing, writing, wishing, investigating, and buying.

Until next time…keep it simple!

Lindsey

An Ember Mug is EXACTLY what I need! Thanks! I’m thinking a pair of those would make for a lovely anniversary gift 🙂

Oh how fun – the playroom in our house was one of my favorite rooms to put together. Almost as fun as planning kid birthdays 🙂 Enjoy!

I’m not a warm drinks person, but I have some friends that would love that Ember mug. I’m really curious about Jessica Simpson’s memoir!
