Happy May! Today I’m linking up with Anne in Residence with her Currently link-up. Even though I haven’t linked up in a few months, I still head over there each month to read others’ posts. It is one of my favorites!
consuming – Macros. I am trying to change my eating habits with learning how to use macros to better fuel my body (and hopefully lose some weight). It definitely is a learning curve, but I am enjoying learning how carbs, fats, and proteins all work together to fuel the body and what the best way to optimize those is.
feeling – Optimistic. I am looking forward to spring and summer and all the outdoor fun it will hopefully bring! I have planted a vegetable garden for the first time and am looking forward to all the yummy vegetables/fruits that will hopefully grow! I will report back on how this goes (crossing fingers).
finding – Joy in the everyday. I have been trying this year to teach myself how to be happy in the minutiae of everyday life. If anything the past couple of years have taught me is that nothing is guaranteed and everything can change quickly and I want to stop living for the big moments, but instead find joy in the small things.
following – Too many accounts. I don’t know if anyone else does this, but I have so many interests/hobbies I want to start/do and so I start following people that do those things whether it be by blog, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc…and I feel myself get so overwhelmed at times. But then there are times I feel encouraged and motivated by following people. I feel like it’s all about balance and realizing when you do start to feel overwhelmed, it might be time to take a step back and evaluate what really interests you and cut back on your follows.
spending – One-on-one time with each girl. I’m trying to be intentional about spending more one-on-one time with each of the girls. Since I have started to be intentional about doing this, I can tell a difference in each of the girls’ attitudes and just how it affects them positively.
Well, it’s been awhile, but I’m glad to be back. I have no excuse for being gone so long other than I guess I just needed a break and to focus on some other life things, but this was fun and I’m looking forward to participating in many more in the future. Please come back next month and see what we are currently celebrating, giving, taking, trying, and wearing.
Until next time….keep it simple!
