Anne, at In Residence, hosts a linkup on the first Wednesday of every month and invites readers to share a few things that they are currently up to. Be sure to head over to Anne’s blog and see what everyone is up to this month.
appreciating – how my girls have been playing so well with each other lately! They will just disappear into their bedroom or their playroom and play for almost an hour at a time. It is what I have been waiting for since Claire was born!
ordering – I need to start ordering Christmas gifts. I would love to have most of my Christmas shopping done by the end of the month, so that way I’m not stressing when Amazon or Target say it’s unavailable until like the week before Christmas (ummm…okay I’ll ‘fess up…yes, I’m embarrassed to admit that has happened to me in the past). I am determined to be better prepared this year!
perfecting – my skin care routine. I’ve been trying out some new products and have been liking them so far, but would like to add a few more steps and items to my routine in the future.
planning – for the holidays. Trying to plan what different holiday events we can go to this year and figuring out family gatherings – if they are going to happen and if so, when can everyone get together.
wearing – layers. This week the high is about 75 degrees with the low being in the low 40’s, so I have been trying to dress myself and the girls in layers that we can shed throughout the day. My blue jean jacket has become a regular staple the past couple of weeks for sure!
Join in sharing what you are currently baking, decorating, gifting, hoping, and sending on December 2nd!
Until next time…keep it simple!

I’m almost finished with Christmas shopping. I know shipping will be rough this year, so I’m trying to get it all finished asap. I hope you have luck finding all the things you need!

Holiday planning is going to be rather different this year, eh? But how lovely to have built-in playmates right at your own house. I am 2 years older than my sister, and that brings back happy memories of playing together in our shared room 🙂

Yes, it is. I am going to miss going to the store and browsing in person, but hopefully it will be more efficient and “cheaper” to do all the shopping online.
I have a sister who is 5 years younger than me, and even though that is a pretty big difference, we were each others best playmates for sure! So many good memories!

I’m new to your blog, but I’d love to hear more about your skin care routine! Have you posted about it, or is it something you’re just working on? My skin is a hot stress mess!
I feel ya on the Christmas shopping too! My daughter is only 4.5, so she’s not super picky yet, but I feel like there are some things she’s asked for that had better be under our tree lol.

Hi! I’m still working on the skin care routine and figuring out what works and what doesn’t. One of biggest changes I’ve made in the past month is switching to the CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion at night and it has helped me to not be so dry. I didn’t want to commit to a big bottle until I saw that it worked and didn’t break me out, so I had been looking for a travel size and never could find one at our Walmart or Target. One day I had to quickly run into our Dollar General store and by chance saw a smaller size there and at a much more reasonable price point to try it out at! I’m hoping to try out a couple of more items and then do a post about my routine soon!
Yes, my 6 year old has marked up an Amazon kids catalog we received (unsolicited mind you…thanks Amazon for that!) and has told me that there are things she “needs” from there. :o)

We are also planning smaller family gatherings this holiday season – dinner will be just my own little family of three, with maybe a fire outside in the afternoon with my brother and his family. It’s a different year this year! I am also working on my Christmas presents – I am done with my son yay! Now I move on to my husband and nieces. 🙂
