Anne, at In Residence, hosts a linkup on the first Wednesday of every month and invites readers to share a few things that they are currently up to. Be sure to head over to Anne’s blog and see what everyone is up to this month.
arranging – My sister’s bachelorette weekend. I know I mentioned this last month, but the trip is next weekend and so I am working on getting last minute things arranged/scheduled for this.
loving – My iPad Pro 11, my Apple Pencil, and my keyboard/iPad cover. It can do so many things! I’m actually drafting this blog post on it (my first time to try it on here) and it is working great! I feel like it can do most of the things a laptop can do, is smaller/lighter, and is touchscreen!
embracing – New family routines/rhthyms. Now that Emmalyn is in Kindergarten, it has changed our family’s routines/rhythms so much. We have to get up earlier, we don’t get home until later, bedtime is earlier, I have to make sure I keep up with all the school papers/permission slips/sign-up forms, etc…It is good and Emmalyn LOVES it and we can tell that she has learned so much in just the month she has been there, but it’s been a change for our family for sure.
Purchasing – Not much. After last month of realizing I had been spending a lot, I really have tried to be intentional about my purchases and be aware of not spending so much. I did go to a kid’s consignment store a couple of weeks ago and came out with some pretty cute things. One of them being a flower girl dress for Emmalyn to wear at my sister’s wedding for $6.50. I do wish it was a little more fluffy on the bottom, but the ones we had been looking at were like $60-$80 and well…a cute dress at $6.50 sounds a lot better to me!
Sharing – Hopefully soon (within the next week) I’ll be sharing about the books I’ve read in July, August, and September!
Check back next month (Nov. 6th) to see what I am currently picking, preparing, trying, feeling, and following!
Until next time, keep it simple!

How fun to have a sister with an upcoming wedding! My sister is pregnant with her first right now and I”m loving getting to celebrate her and plan showers and such 🙂 And I love a good book review post – I’ll have to check back on that for sure!
Thanks for joining in again.

She’s adorable!! I love that she’s barefoot 🙂 What about looking for a crinoline skirt to put under the dress? That would fluff it out for the wedding–and I’ll bet you could both buy–and then sell–in a consignment or e-bay setting! Have a fun bachelorette weekend!

Oh that is a great idea! I will for sure look into that. Thank you for suggesting it!!!

She is so adorable! Great find!
And I am having a hard time with our new rhythm now that my son is in school too. It is good but still different.
