- Everyone loves a Sonic Drink
Last Thursday on the way back to daycare from going to the doctor with Claire I decided to stop and get Sonic drinks for Emmalyn and Claire’s daycare teachers. I texted and asked them what they would like and brought them drinks. I know it was a super small thing to do in the scheme of things, but I really enjoyed getting to do that and it made my day. They take care of my babies day in and day out, so it was nice to get to do something little for them. - Paying off student loans – Last week we were able to pay off my student loans. Pretty much since Robert and I have been married this has been a goal of ours. I didn’t have a super big loan to start with due to scholarships I received and my parents, but it was something just hanging out there. We have been working to pay off debt and paying my student loan off was the top of it for us. We had saved it for last because I had such a low interest rate on it, but we finally did it!!! It feels so good to have that behind us! Now we are not debt-free because we have the house and my car, but that literally is the only debt we have and it feels so good! I don’t know if we will focus on my car now or put the money into savings just yet, but getting my loan paid off was a kick in the pants to help us stay motivated toward achieving financial freedom and leaving a legacy for our girls.
- New (to me) term = bookstagram – I recently heard the term “bookstagram” used and was intrigued. Apparently there is an Instagram world of book lovers. I love this because I love books (always have since I was a little girl) and then a few days after discovering that term I read this blog post from Modern Mrs. Darcy about “10 Favorite Bookstagrammers You Should Be Following“. These are some really cheerful and colorful book lover accounts. I have followed a few of them and they have been making my Instagram feed a colorful and cheery place to check into every once in awhile.
- Starbursts – So a little fact about me is that pink Starbursts are my absolute favorite out of all the Starburst flavors. So you can imagine my excitement when I found this bag!!!
Who knew this existed?!?! All I have to say is that I am so happy the makers of Starbursts came to their senses…this was so genius! I wish I would have bought a couple more bags because I’m sure this is a limited thing, but I’m happy to have at least one of these special bags!!!

I used to live near a Sonic and loved their drinks! But now there’s not one anywhere nearby. Also pink starburst are hands down the best!
My husband’s favorite SB is pink, too, so we bought a bag earlier this summer to try. And we LIVE at Sonic! My daily pleasure is a large Diet Coke with extra ice! Have a great weekend!
