Linking up with Erica and Shay for their monthly “Let’s Look” post.
In the way of reading and books, I currently have my She Reads Truth Bible, When Less Becomes More, The Body Keeps the Score, The Home Edit, and my Kindle Paperwhite. I tend to mainly read my Kindle in bed because I can read while Robert goes to sleep and it doesn’t bother him. I do keep a small flashlight on my table in case I do get a “real” book that I want to read, but I try to read those during the day mostly. (side note – reading with a flashlight reminds me of being a little girl and hiding a flashlight in my bed and reading at night when I was supposed to be sleeping. Funny how little things can take you back and make you feel a certain way.)
I have my iPhone and Apple Watch chargers. I love the little stand we have where we can charge both on it, but I am trying out a wireless charger for my iPhone right now. For the most part I like it, except there have been a couple of nights where I don’t get it positioned just right on the charger and I wake up the next morning and it hasn’t charged, so that’s my biggest complaint, but it’s not the charger’s fault…it’s “user error” for sure.
I also keep my Rosebud Salve (for my lips…I hate having dry lips when I go to bed), hand lotion of some kind, and a couple of hair elastics (not to put my hair up when I sleep, but they are typically from when I take them out before I lay down and they just stay there until the next evening when I get home from work). I also typically keep some ear plugs there handy, because with stuffy nose season going on…there is a lot of snoring going on in my house.
I also usually have a diffuser on my table because I love the scent of lavender when going to sleep, but alas…my diffuser bit the dust recently and I just haven’t ordered another one yet (it’s on my to-do list this month). I do have a bottle of lavender spray I keep on it that I got from Bath and Body Works awhile ago and I have been spraying that before bed (it’s not the same though and I’m ready to get a new diffuser).
I am afraid to show you what is in the drawers…I have so much randomness in there. I probably need to clean them out and get rid of a lot because I can’t remember the last time I got something out of there to use before bed. That should tell me something right there, huh?
Hope you’ve enjoyed a look at what’s on my bedside table. Please consider joining us on the second Wednesday of next month (2/12) when we’ll be looking at “Your Winter Wardrobe”.
Until next time…keep it simple!
