Here is another installment of Pin to Present! I know I skipped the month of March, but I was stretched thin that month and just needed to put a couple of things to the side and this unfortunately was one of them.
For the past couple of years, I have been wanting to make “Resurrection Rolls” that I always see on Pinterest or on blogs around Easter time, so I decided this year would be the year! So “Resurrection Rolls” use different items to represent the burial of Christ and then once they are cooked, the marshmallow inside should disappear to represent that the tomb is empty and Christ is RISEN!
I figured Emmalyn was old enough to really understand the Easter story and what all the elements represented and Claire was old enough to actually participate and do a lot of it herself. It was a lot of fun making these with them and the girls really enjoyed it (However, maybe it was getting to eat the marshmallows that they enjoyed the most)!
As you can see in the picture above, ours did not turn out the same as the pictures on Pinterest. I made sure to pinch the rolls as closed as I could and thought it was good enough, but apparently not. Oh well, I just told them, that Jesus came out of the tomb and the inside was empty, that seemed sufficient enough for them. I think this will be an annual tradition for us and hopefully next year they will stay closed and the marshmallow will actually melt/disappear.
I hope everyone had a good Easter! If anyone has any questions about Christ’s resurrection and what it means to us, please do not hesitate to ask. I would love to talk to you about it more! Praise the Lord for He is RISEN!
Until next time….keep it simple!

I don’t think the kids minded at all that the rolls didn’t look like the Pinterest picture! They look yummy! Thanks for linking up with Hello Monday! Tanya – The Other Side of the Road
