I can’t believe how fast February seemed to go by! It seems crazy that it’s time for another link up with Shay of Mix and Match Mama for a What’s Up Wednesday post.
What We’re Eating This Week:
Good question. If someone knows, please tell me. 🙂
What I’m Reminiscing About:
My previous jobs. There were things I didn’t like about them, but there were things that I really enjoyed and I have been wondering what would life be like now had I stayed in them?
What I’m Loving:
Cadberry Mini Eggs (yay for Easter candy!)
What We’ve Been Up To:
A couple of weeks ago Emmalyn participated in a cheer clinic that was held at a junior high school for all the elementary school girls in our district. They practiced one night and the next night they performed one cheer and one dance. Emmalyn had a blast and loved it! She did so good too!
This past weekend, the girls and I went down to my sister’s and stayed the weekend. I helped her host a baby shower for one of our very good friends and the girls enjoyed getting to play with her little boy all weekend! I got some super cute cookies for the shower and just want to show them off to you guys here.
If you are ever in NWA and need some super cute cookies done, check out Krauft Cookies on Facebook.
What I’m Dreading:
Nothing right now.
What I’m Excited About:
Emmalyn’s birthday coming up in the next week. She went to a friend’s birthday party recently at a Princess Party place and they had a tea party and that is all she has wanted to do for her birthday and as luck would have it we get to do the party on her actual birthday, so that will be fun! Also, we finally have bought a swingset and they are delivering it a couple of days before her birthday and we are going to keep it hidden and surprise her and Claire with it. I can not wait!
What I’m Watching/Reading:
Watching: So I have fallen in love with a new show on Netflix called Virgin River.
There is only one season so far, but I watched it when I was out sick and loved it. It is based upon a book series by Robyn Carr and yes, while I am waiting for Season 2 to come out, I might have started reading the book series. The show reminds me a lot of Hart of Dixie, which I also enjoyed a lot!
Also. I just found out this week that the show I mentioned last month, Fixer to Fabulous on HGTV that is filmed here in NWA has been renewed for a Season 2 and I am just so happy about that!
Reading: As talked about above…currently the Virgin River series by Robyn Carr. Check back in the next week or two for other books I read during the month of February.
What I’m Listening To:
My sister told me about a podcast called Hell or Gone and Season 1 is about a girl who was murdered that is from a town close to here in NWA. I’m only on Episode 3, but I have been enjoying it so far.
Also, I have been listening to some health type podcasts related to auto-immune diseases/Hashimoto’s and gut-related health. I find the topic of gut health and how changing what you eat can help with so many things very interesting. I am trying so hard to make better choices and to eliminate gluten in my diet, but I don’t have the best support system right now and to be honest I have struggled since Valentine’s with this. But I am going to really try to focus on it this coming month and start documenting things so that I can look back and maybe see how these changes have really helped to better my life and make me feel better and will help to encourage me to keep it going.
What I’m Wearing:
Just my normal black pants and cute shirt with a sweater/cardigan for work and jeans, long sleeved tee, and sneakers for weekend days.
I am looking to up my pajama game though. Currently I wear any old tshirt I have with some random pj bottoms, and I am ready to change that. My sister got me a cute pajama set from Target for Christmas and I love when I wear it, I just feel better so I am looking to maybe buy a couple of more cute sets and do away with my mismatched items. If anyone has any suggestions on a cute and comfy brand, please send them my way!
What I’m Doing This Weekend:
Emmalyn has been invited to a friend from daycare’s birthday party on Saturday and then my sister and her husband are coming up to help my Dad with house stuff, because he is needing to sell it very soon – per divorce court orders. So I’m sure I’ll be over there trying to help with that some.
What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month:
Emmalyn’s birthday! My sister’s birthday! Hopefully more spring-like weather! The time changing to staying lighter longer after we get home from work/school! The girls getting to play on their new swingset!
What Else Is New:
We finally cleaned out Claire’s old room and turned it into a bedroom for the girls. We bought a bunkbed for them and some beanbag chairs and set up a TV in there so they would have a place to go a relax/chill when they need it. We threw away/got rid of a lot of things and it just feels so good in there now. I admit, I cried a bit with getting rid of Claire’s crib, but so far the bunkbed has worked out pretty well for them.
Now we are working on cleaning out Emmalyn’s old room to make that into a designated playroom for them. I’ll keep you posted on how that goes.
Until next time…keep it simple!
Lindsey

Your answer to “what we’re eating” made me laugh! 🙂
Also, yay for the days getting longer. I NEED more sunlight in my life.
