I’m apologizing in advance…was hoping to have some photos to include in this post, but I have had a terrible cold this past week and just have not felt like doing anything. Will try to do better next month!
What We’re Eating This Week: We’ve been eating a lot of spaghetti lately. We have finally decided that Prego Traditional sauce is our favorite and Robert has figured out that leaving some of the grease in from the hamburger meat makes a world of difference in how it taste. Robert has pretty much perfected spaghetti making and we love it! Such an easy/cheap meal option that makes tons for leftovers!
What I’m Reminiscing About: Robert and I have been reminiscing about our trip to San Francisco last year. We both agree that was one of our most favorite trips as a couple and we dream of going again some day!
What I’m Loving: Sleep! Baby Claire is such a great sleeper (knock on wood)! We typically can put her down between 8:30-9:00 p.m. and she sleeps until we wake her up about 6:30 a.m. Emmalyn was never a great sleeper, so I am so very thankful that Claire sleeps good!
What We’ve Been Up To: Just work and home stuff. Nothing too exciting. Just enjoying my little family of four!
**update – We did celebrate mine & Robert’s birthdays this month. It was fun to see how Emmalyn enjoyed celebrating them.**
What I’m Dreading: Robert is going out of town for a full week (seven days) to an annual conference he attends in Orlando every year. My parents are going to come and help me with the girls. I feel like I could handle it all, but breastfeeding Claire and trying to get out the door on time for work in the mornings seems pretty intimidating right now by myself. If Claire was a little bit older and could hold a bottle by herself I feel pretty confident I could do it myself. However, it will be nice to have my parents here for Emmalyn and Claire to play with some.
**update – No lie (can’t make this up)…Robert just called to tell me that he has to go on an impromptu trip right before his conference trip. So that’s a full 10 days without him. I’m happy for him because this impromptu trip is a good thing for his career, but why, why, oh why must they coincide?**
What I’m Working On: Working on trying to get over a cold.
What I’m Excited About: A belated birthday trip with my sister for a weekend in October. Just a girls shopping trip and night away. It’s long overdue for the both of us!
What I’m Watching/Reading:
- Watching: Seems like we’ve had a lot of football on in the background at our house…college and pro both. Also, Robert and I did watch Wonder Woman the other night (first movie in awhile that we’ve watched together). It was pretty good…even though I’m not a Marvel comic fan I enjoyed it.
- Reading: I’ve been trying to read a lot lately. Trying to catch up on all those ARC’s I’ve received and I’ve read some good books from the library too. Book report coming up soon!
What I’m Listening To: Random Spotify playlists. I’ve been in a music mood this month. I typically listen to a lot of podcasts, but I’ve been getting a little tired of all the “talking” and am enjoying some low-key, relaxing music here lately.
What I’m Wearing: Trying to wear clothes that work for cooler mornings and hotter afternoons. This in-between weather is so hard to dress for.
What I’m Doing This Weekend: Staying at home and resting to get over this cold. I’d like to take Emmalyn to the pumpkin patch with a friend, but it all depends on how I am feeling by then.
What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month: Craft fair day with friends, watching Emmalyn go trick-or-treating, my shopping weekend out of town with my sister!
What Else Is New: Nothing much…
Until next time…keep it simple.
