Happy Fall Ya’ll!!! I’m linking up with Shay of Mix and Match Mama for one of my favorites link-ups of the month. September has always been one of my favorite months of the year!
What We’re Eating This Week:
Robert is out of town this week, so it’s going to be an random/easy week food-wise. Just things we have in the freezer or to-go food from somewhere.
What I’m Reminiscing About:
My babies…look how small they were.
What I’m Loving:
These new drink cocktails. The Sparkling Greyhound is currently my favorite! They are not too sweet and it has a fresh taste/flavor to it
What We’ve Been Up To:
A couple of weekends ago, Emmalyn had some sort of fever virus and then this past weekend, Claire had a little stomach/fever virus…so that’s what we have been up to on our weekends. A lot of cuddles and movie watching going on at our house lately!
What I’m Dreading:
As of right now I don’t have anything I’m really dreading. Yay me!
What I’m Working On:
Helping to plan a couple of showers for my sister who is getting married in November. I’m helping plan a “Friends Shower” for this weekend and then helping plan her “Bachelorette Shower” that we are going to Austin, TX for in October.
What I’m Excited About:
Going to Austin, TX next month (see above)!
What I’m Watching/Reading:
Watching: The Downton Abbey movie!!!
It was delightful!!! I want to go see it again…I was worried about how it was going to be and if they would ruin “Downton” for me, but no…if anything it made me love it even more!!! I heard it described as being wrapped in a cozy blanket and that is exactly how it made me feel! It was so good!!!
Reading: A lot. When I am stressed or have a lot going on in my mind, I read. And things in my family have been stressful and worrisome lately so I have been turning to books to escape and not think about things. I hope to have my July, August, September reads up here in the next week or two. Check back soon!
What I’m Listening To:
More audiobooks than podcasts recently. I find that listening to too many podcasts makes me feel the same way Instagram does at times…just anxious and that I’m not being/doing enough. I find that when I start feeling that way I have to be very selective on the podcast episodes I choose and limit my listening of them for awhile. So audiobooks it has been!
I am currently listening to The Bookshop on the Shore by Jenny Colgan. I am enjoying it so much! It is something very simple and peaceful to listen to at work or if I have a few minutes in the car by myself.
What I’m Wearing:
I have jumped on the jumpsuit bandwagon (no pun intended). I got one about a month ago and have loved wearing it! A couple of weeks ago I purchased another one and am constantly looking for more to add to my closet. I love that they are comfy and just easy to throw on with a jacket/cardigan and you instantly look put together!
What I’m Doing This Weekend:
Going down to visit my sister in Central Arkansas and celebrating her and her fiance at two wedding showers!
What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month:
Going to Austin, TX next month (see above)!
What Else Is New:
I’m contemplating doing Rachel Hollis’ #LastNinetyDays Challenge. Her Ninety Day Challenge consists of these five changes to make to your life:
- Drink half your body weight in ounces of water each day.
- Flush the bad stuff out of your body.
- Wake up one hour earlier.
- Use the time for yourself.
- Give up one category of food for 30 days.
- Move your body everyday for 30 minutes.
- Practice gratitude daily.
- Spend your day looking for blessings.
I know I need to make my mind up if I am going to do it since it starts next week. I am so tired of feeling like I am stuck in a rut and I am wondering if this might help me break out of it and start something new for me. I’ll let you know if I decide to do it and if so, I’ll keep you posted!
Until next time…keep it simple!

Jenny Colgan is my new favourite author. I haven’t yet found a book of her I don’t like.
Another another WUW blogger mentioned Rachel Hollis’ Last 90 Days challenge so I’ve signed up. We’ll see how it goes but I love the idea.
